Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform preliminary diagnostics
- Manage patient scheduling, records, and insurance documentation
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant license or RDA certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
