Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments in emergency department settings to determine acuity levels
- Accurately document patient histories and vital signs using electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize patient care
- Provide education to patients and families regarding emergency procedures
- Adhere to ED protocols and maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards
- Manage patient flow during high-volume periods while maintaining quality care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license with minimum 2 years ED/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Proven expertise in rapid assessment and critical decision-making
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills a plus
