Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following OSHA and HIPAA protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory facilities
- Update patient records via our remote EMR system
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Maintain sterile work environments and equipment calibration
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for specimen collection requirements
- Assist in training new phlebotomy staff remotely
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with remote oversight
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
