Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections at Plano patient sites
- Process and transport specimens following HIPAA-compliant protocols
- Provide telehealth support for patient pre-screening and post-collection follow-up
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems remotely
- Train patients on home collection kits when applicable
- Collaborate with lab teams via teleconferencing for urgent cases
- Ensure OSHA compliance in all specimen handling procedures
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficient with telehealth platforms (Zoom, Doxy.me)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Strong remote communication skills
- Ability to travel within Plano metro area (mileage reimbursed)
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccination required
