Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections
- Process and label specimens following HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and disposal of biohazard materials
- Document patient information in EHR systems
- Provide patient education during procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for specimen transport
- Adhere to OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Attention to detail and precision in specimen handling
- Valid California driver's license for occasional specimen transport
