Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist residents with eating when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all residents.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of New Mexico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
