Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities while maintaining chain of custody
- Document patient data accurately in our HIPAA-compliant electronic health records system
- Remote monitoring of lab results and preliminary data analysis
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers for special collection protocols
- Maintain infection control standards and equipment calibration
- Train patients on pre-collection procedures and post-care instructions
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT1 or CPT2)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy or related field
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote documentation systems
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong communication abilities for remote patient interactions
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative team engagement
- Reliable transportation for occasional on-site rotations
