Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient intake and preliminary health assessments via telehealth platforms
- Assist providers with remote clinical documentation using EHR systems
- Coordinate patient care plans and follow-up appointments
- Manage electronic health records and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education and health coaching remotely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Handle administrative tasks including billing verification and insurance processing
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth preferred)
- Strong telehealth platform experience (Zoom Health, Doxy.me)
- New York State medical assistant license
- Exceptional communication skills with virtual patient experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
