Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kentucky (or willingness to obtain reciprocity for Ohio).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record documentation.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
