Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct thorough follow-up on denied claims and appeals
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with providers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports on key performance metrics
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for coding and billing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and Medicare/Medicaid payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in medical billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills for claim denial analysis
- Excellent written communication for patient and provider interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
