Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Prioritize patient cases and coordinate with clinical teams for timely intervention
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation per HIPAA standards
- Provide clear patient education on treatment plans and home care instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff for seamless care coordination
- Manage high-pressure situations with calm professionalism during medical emergencies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and triage protocol updates
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia
- Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience with ER, urgent care, or telehealth background
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
- Valid Virginia driver's license for occasional site visits
