Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS systems
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers and follow up on outstanding balances
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and patient financial counseling
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with precision and efficiency
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
