Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments following strict infection control protocols
- Manage surgical instrument inventory and sterilization processes
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for coordinated care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- BLS certification from AHA
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI)
- Ability to work in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
