- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10 and CPT systems
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits pre-service
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes efficiently
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and performance analytics
- Collaborate with providers to ensure documentation accuracy
- Train staff on billing best practices and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with remote work preference
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payers
- Proven track record in denial rate reduction (target <5%)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
