Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct thorough charge entry and payment posting using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve claim denials through appeals and payer negotiations
- Perform regular compliance audits to ensure HIPAA and CMS guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Stay updated on CPT/ICD-10 coding changes and industry regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and Medicare/Medicaid
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar RCM platforms
- Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record in denial management and A/R reduction
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
