- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage details prior to service rendering
- Conduct thorough claim denials research and appeals preparation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS regulations
- Generate monthly financial reports and aging accounts receivable summaries
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Stay updated on CMS regulations and payer policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rate <2%
