Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 98%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies through systematic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Collaborate with providers to document services accurately
- Generate monthly reports on billing metrics and denial trends
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for coding and billing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
