Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Denial analysis and appeals management with 95% resolution rate
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve coding discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports on KPIs: days in A/R, clean claim rates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician or hospital settings
- Certification (CPC, CCS-P, or RHIA) strongly preferred
- Mastery of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Expertise in Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth EMR platforms
- Proven track record with EOBs and remittance processing
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
