Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions while adhering to state and federal regulations
- Provide telepharmaceutical counseling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and dosage instructions
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records with precision and confidentiality
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies and ensure patient safety
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate medication ordering to prevent stockouts
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in retail, hospital, or telepharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex medical information clearly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
