Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections in patient homes and clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens following strict safety protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation and post-collection care
- Utilize telehealth platforms for virtual consultations and result communication
- Maintain detailed electronic health records and inventory management
- Collaborate with lab teams and physicians to ensure seamless care delivery
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or AMT preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with reliable transportation
- Proficiency in telehealth software and electronic medical records
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling expertise
