Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood draws and specimen collection in patient homes or designated Anchorage facilities
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport to laboratory facilities
- Conduct virtual patient consultations and pre-procedure assessments via telehealth platform
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care workflows
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and OSHA safety protocols
- Train patients on at-home collection procedures when applicable
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to travel within Anchorage metro area for patient visits
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
