Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients across diverse age groups
- Utilize clinical judgment to determine appropriate care levels and disposition
- Document patient encounters accurately in our HIPAA-compliant EHR system
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care plans
- Provide education on self-care and health management to patients and families
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with state nursing regulations and protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland (compact license preferred)
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience with triage or emergency background
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations
- Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations
