Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and video triage assessments for patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and treatment protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide education on self-care management and preventive health measures
- Manage patient flow and prioritize urgent cases according to clinical guidelines
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (compact license preferred)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or telephone triage
- BLS certification and current ACLS (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient with telehealth platforms and EMR documentation systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
