Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Anticipate procedural needs and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Count and manage surgical supplies/inventory before, during, and after procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and AORN safety protocols
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
