Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls/visits to determine medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients/families via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate appropriate care pathways and referrals
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Handle high-stress situations with calm professionalism during critical events
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license with 2+ years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required; TNCC preferred
- Proven triage experience in ER, urgent care, or telehealth setting
- Mastery of EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 3 shifts/week including weekends
- TN residency required for license verification
