Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and virtual triage assessments of patients presenting with acute and chronic health concerns.
- Evaluate symptoms against established clinical protocols to determine urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Document patient interactions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide clear, empathetic, and actionable health education and self-care instructions to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Stay updated on current clinical guidelines, disease prevention, and telehealth best practices.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Nevada (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting (ER, Urgent Care, or Triage).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS highly preferred for triage roles).
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to navigate telehealth platforms and EMR systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts simply.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-stress situations.
- Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace and high-speed internet at home.
