Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures ensuring optimal operating room efficiency
- Maintain sterile environments following AORN and OSHA protocols
- Train and mentor junior surgical technology staff
- Manage inventory and equipment sterilization processes
- Document procedural outcomes with precision
- Participate in department quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of scrub experience in Level I trauma center
- Advanced cardiac or neurosurgical specialization preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- Experience with robotic surgical systems a plus
