Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephonic/remote patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and interventions
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide health education to patients regarding symptoms, medications, and preventive care
- Manage high-volume call queues during peak hours with exceptional time management
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for telehealth services
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification and current DEA registration
- Proven expertise in telephone triage protocols (e.g., ESI, CTAS)
- Proficient in telehealth platforms and EMR documentation systems
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate urgent situations
- Experience with Spanish language preferred for diverse patient population
