Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via secure video and telephone channels to evaluate symptoms and medical history.
- Provide accurate triage, symptom analysis, and appropriate treatment recommendations or self-care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Determine the urgency of patient needs and facilitate appropriate referrals to urgent care, emergency services, or primary care physicians.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on the latest clinical guidelines, telehealth best practices, and medication protocols.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when communicating with patients and families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 1+ years preferred in triage or telehealth.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
