Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient health status and needs.
- Care Implementation: Provide direct patient care according to established nursing protocols and the plan of care.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records and patient charts in compliance with hospital standards.
- Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity and respect are upheld at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and commitment to patient well-being.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic medical equipment.
