Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient vitals to ensure safety and well-being.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
