Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support, ensuring a safe and healing environment for all patients.
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and document symptoms, responses to treatment, and recovery progress accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and health maintenance.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or eligibility for reciprocity in NC).
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet patient needs.
