Senior 2D Artist & Animator

Apex Digital Solutions is on the hunt for a visionary 2D Artist to lead our visual storytelling initiatives. In this role, you will translate complex concepts into breathtaking visual assets, pushing the boundaries of digital design and animation.

Responsibilities
- Concept Development: Create original character designs, environment concepts, and storyboards that align with project goals and brand guidelines.
- Motion Graphics: Design and animate high-quality 2D motion graphics and visual effects for web and mobile platforms to enhance user engagement.
- Asset Creation: Produce clean, scalable 2D assets optimized for various digital mediums using industry-standard tools.
- Creative Direction: Collaborate closely with the creative director and product team to refine visual style and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Technical Execution: Rig characters and animate sequences in After Effects or equivalent software to meet tight production deadlines.
- Feedback Integration: Iterate rapidly on designs based on stakeholder feedback to achieve the highest quality output and maintain a positive team dynamic.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 2D art, illustration, or animation within a digital agency or tech environment.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing character design, environment art, or motion graphics with a focus on quality and detail.
- Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to non-creative stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a remote-first culture.
