Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable microservices to support real-time scoring and athlete data feeds.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure engineering excellence.
- Optimize database performance and ensure 99.99% system availability for the games duration.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to define API standards and documentation.
- Conduct load testing and disaster recovery planning for high-traffic events.
- Migrate legacy infrastructure to modern cloud-native architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, message queues, and caching strategies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing large-scale projects.
