Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications and assist with medication administration as directed by a nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals tailored to the client's dietary needs.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required for the right candidates.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring demeanor and a desire to help the elderly.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
