Responsibilities
- Process and submit complex medical claims to insurance payers with 98% accuracy
- Conduct audits and resolve claim denials using CPT/ICD-10 coding expertise
- Manage accounts receivable and aging reports for $5M+ portfolio
- Collaborate with providers to ensure documentation compliance
- Train junior billers on revenue cycle best practices
- Implement billing process improvements using Epic software
- Stay current with HIPAA and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates below 5%
- Strong knowledge of Nevada Medicaid and Medicare guidelines
- Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
