Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within established SLAs
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Conduct regular audits of coding and billing documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge capture integrity
- Generate monthly reports on key performance indicators
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers
- Experience with Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume claim processing deadlines
