- Manage complex medical billing cycles for diverse specialty practices using Epic and NextGen systems
- Optimize revenue cycle through precise CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve claim denials through strategic appeals and payer negotiations
- Conduct monthly audits to identify revenue leakage and implement corrective actions
- Train junior billing staff on compliance protocols and system best practices
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation meets billing requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with specialty practice focus
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Expertise in RCM software (Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth)
- Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates below 5%
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven problem-solving approach
- Ability to manage high-volume billing cycles with minimal supervision
