Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through appeals and follow-up
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing regulations
- Analyze aging reports and manage accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Utilize Epic EMR and Centricity practice management systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician practice or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance claims
- Proficient in medical billing software and EMR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
