Responsibilities
- Manage complex medical billing cycles for multi-specialty practices using Epic and NextGen EHR systems
- Analyze claim denials and implement strategic corrective actions to maximize reimbursement rates
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and audit readiness across all billing documentation
- Collaborate with coding specialists to resolve CPT/ICD-10 discrepancies
- Generate monthly revenue reports and KPI dashboards for practice partners
- Maintain payer relationships and negotiate contract terms for optimal reimbursement
- Train junior billing staff on compliance protocols and software proficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with 2+ years in multi-specialty environments
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential required
- Expertise in CMS-1500 forms, UB-04 claims, and electronic submission protocols
- Advanced proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Athena, AdvancedMD)
- Demonstrated success reducing claim denial rates below 5%
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex insurance contracts
- Experience with Nevada Medicaid and major commercial payers (Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare)
