Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Manage complex billing cycles for multi-specialty practices and ensure timely reimbursement
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and eligibility checks for all patients
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with 95%+ success rate through strategic follow-up
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation meets billing compliance standards
- Generate monthly revenue reports and identify opportunities for process optimization
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and audit-ready documentation practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with proven track record in high-volume settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) required
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
