Responsibilities
- Manage complex medical billing processes for diverse healthcare specialties including cardiology and oncology
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and commercial payer regulations
- Analyze claim denials and implement corrective action strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and financial records
- Train junior billing staff on coding best practices
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or large clinic setting
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance regulations
