Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and patient eligibility checks
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials efficiently
- Document coding and billing procedures in compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper documentation
- Analyze billing trends and report revenue cycle metrics
- Train junior billing staff on best practices and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with denial analysis and appeals processes
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
