Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with advanced surgical equipment and sterile instrumentation
- Assist complex surgical procedures across orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery specialties
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols and sterile field integrity
- Train and mentor junior surgical technologists
- Coordinate instrument/equipment inventory and sterilization processes
- Document surgical procedures with precision and compliance
- Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 5+ years OR experience
- Advanced certification in surgical specialty (e.g., CSS, CNOR)
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgery instrumentation
- Proven leadership experience in surgical teams
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional knowledge of OSHA and JCAHO standards
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, high-acuity surgical environments
