Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications following strict protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient consultation on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
- Maintain precise electronic health records and prescription documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy and safety protocols
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of state/federal pharmacy regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and computer literacy
- Background check and drug screening required
