Responsibilities
- Manage prescription verification and dispensing processes with 100% accuracy
- Lead inventory control systems for controlled substances and specialty medications
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management initiatives
- Implement HIPAA-compliant patient record management systems
- Conduct quality assurance audits for pharmacy operations
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- Expertise in automated dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell, Pyxis)
- Strong knowledge of IV compounding and sterile preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail and regulatory compliance awareness
- BS in Pharmacy Technology or related field preferred
