Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and determine appropriate care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases based on severity
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and emergency department procedures
Qualifications
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Commitment to completing our 8-week paid training program
- Previous emergency department experience preferred
