We're seeking a dedicated Senior Pharmacy Technician to deliver exceptional patient care while managing fast-paced prescription workflows. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and California Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (Omni preferred)
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medication instructions
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume environments
- Basic math skills for compounding and dosage calculations
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays
