Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation using advanced pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and health maintenance
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and sterile compounding protocols
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) required
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacy software (QS1, Omnicell, etc.)
- Certification in sterile compounding (ASHP preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BS in Pharmacy Technology or related field preferred
