Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications with precision and efficiency
- Manage prescription workflow from intake to final dispensing
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain strict inventory control and compounding operations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory adherence in all processes
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize patient care outcomes
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Valid CPR certification
